For the first time in a bit here in Ohio, we have some election results that aren’t disappointing.
President – Nicole Marsano
Secretary – Tammy Shelton
NEA delegates – Ian Westcott and Nicole Marsano
OEA delegates – Tamara Lane, Lynnmarie Fye, Lynne Graves, Jason Wyant, Tammy Shelton, Eric Sottosanti, and Zina Scott
Also, the by-law change was approved and now elections can be held cheaper and easier.
Be on the lookout for contract books, keep in touch with your elected officials, and stay solid.
SCOPE Election
Check your mail, SCOPE members! You should be seeing your official ballot any day. This particular ballot is a little different than normal because it has a bylaw change to vote on at the bottom.Fill it out, seal it in the return envelope, and sign the back on the line. Vote early and vote oft—only once!
Also, FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINALY the new contract is available digitally. The books are coming later, but we promise they won’t be outdated by the time you get them.
OEA Minority Leadership Training Program (MLTP) 2025
Registration is now open for the 2025 OEA Minority Leadership Training Program. The OEA Minority Leadership Training Program (MLTP) provides OEA members of color with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully serve as leaders at all levels of the Association: local, district, state and national. This program includes leadership development experiences and support throughout the year to develop each participant’s ability to match their leadership interests with leadership opportunities to positively impact OEA’s growth as an inclusive and diverse organization.
This program is scheduled for May 16 –17, 2025, at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel, 409 Altair Parkway, Westerville, OH, 43082. ELECTIONS DEADLINE NOTICE APRIL 30, 2022
Candidacy forms are now available for the upcoming SCOPE general election. All SCOPE general election candidacy/nomination forms and biographical forms must be mailed to the following address:

All candidacy/nomination forms and biographical forms must be postmarked by April 30, 2022. Ballots will be sent back out to you on May 16th, 2022, and will be required to be returned postmarked by May 29, 2021. Ballots will be counted on June 6, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Location of the ballot-count is to be determined.
